Open Technology opening up the room
Workshop by Nick Weldin - SHIFT 2008
This workshop will introduce you to the Arduino board, an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software.
We will look at how you can use it in different situations to respond and influence the world around it.
We will also look at some examples of projects that have been made with Arduino and look at how these were realised.
It is not necessary to know electronics or coding to take part in this workshop, but if you do know about either you will find it easier and be able to work faster.
We will provide Arduinos for small groups to work with and a range of sensors to attatch to them.
The Arduinos will also be available for sale along with a selection of items from the Tinker It! shop.
